Ghost Of A Tale Heading To PC Next March

Ghost Of a Tale has been a long time coming. We originally saw the game back at Gamescom in 2014, and while it's released in a beta form on Steam, it hasn't seen an official release date. It still doesn't have one, but a recent developer update homes in on when the game may be out.

Lionel "Seith" Gallat, the person at the heart of the game (he's responsible for most of the game while getting some additional help from a few others) has posted an update on the game, answering a few questions after remaining quiet for a few months. According to Gallat, "the game’s content itself will be mostly done by the end of December." The team was originally hoping to release the game this year, but considering the additional time that quality assurance, promotion, translation (the game will release in at least five languages, though there are plans and hopes for 10 total), Gallat is aiming to release the PC version of the game in March. The Xbox One version will follow right after, followed by the PS4 version.

After showing off a few more shots of how the game has improved in recent months, the post goes on to answer a few other questions: The final game will take around 15 to 20 hours to finish, depending on how much players explore and will go on sale $24.99 (five dollars higher than the pre-release version).

Our Take
I'll be honest and say I hadn't heard of GOAT until today, but hearing that it's mostly the work of one person is impressive. Hopefully the game turns out well.
